Day 1

We arrived in Barcelona from London Heathrow. We then drove to a restaurant in the city, where we had an amazing Catalan Meal and got to know the fellow travel agents on the trip.

We then went on a walking tour enjoying the works of Gaudi, especially the unfinished church, Sagrada Familia.

The Gothic Quarter, and the Art Nouveau Architecture.

We went on a private tour of the Casa Ametlier, viewing the House and its history, and you can buy and sample the home made chocolate.

Our First night was spent in the Gallery hotel-4Star, which is located close to the Passeig de Gracia, so in a great central location.

Day 2

This morning we had a 60 mile drive up the coast to S'Agaro, and stayed in the beautiful Hostal de la Gavina, which is a leading Hotel Of the World.

This hotel had amazing grounds and well kept gardens, and a huge beautiful swimming pool, which i did use.

We then travelled to a historic fishing bay, which still had the original fishing cottages,  where we sat down to an alfresco lunch cooked by a husband and wife team. The food was delicious.

They also gave us the opportunity to have a have a dip and swim in the picturesque unspoiled bay.

There is a variety of wonderful costal walks around this area to be enjoyed.

Day 3

Day 4

This morning we headed inland to the city of Lleida.  We broke our journey to visit the Monestir Sant Pere De Casserres, which was in such outstanding beautiful country side.  You can Go on listed walks and cycling routes in this area.

We had lunch at the parador Vic-Sau, where you can also stay overnight if you wished.

We then arrived in lleida, where we stayed in the Parador de Lleida, which is situated right in the centre of the historic city, surrounded by cobbled streets.

Sadly we had reached the end of this fantastic Catalonion adventure.

We headed back to Barcelona airport & return to Heathrow before heading back home to Bradford on Avon.

There is so much to see in this region, and i would recommend you experience it.

We would like to say a massive thanks to Kirker Holidays & Hisam for inviting Jennie on this wonderful trip of Catalonia.

Jennie's knowledge of the area has increased tenfold & is more than ready to help you plan the perfect itinerary to experience this unique destination.

Caitlins trip to DisneyLand Paris

22nd of November 2023

Day 1

Last week my best friend and I travelled to Disneyland Paris for two nights. With us both
being Disney and Christmas mad, we knew there was no better time for us to visit! We flew
into Orly Airport and used the Magical Shuttles service which couldn’t have been any easier.
With the room not being ready due to our early arrival and check in not until three, we
dropped our bags off using the free service and then headed straight to the park. The walk
took us less than fifteen minutes from our hotel Sante Fe to park entrance. We headed to the
Disneyland Park first so that we could see Mainstreet USA decorated for Christmas. We
entered to jolly music and beautiful lights which made the festive feeling instantly kick in.
Before we could do anything else, we went into one of the shops where we purchased our
matching Christmas Minnie Mouse ears! Wanting to be able to take everything in, we had a
leisurely few hours, where we admired all the decorations, did a few of the smaller rides such
as Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Phantom Manor before a nice lunch at Casey’s
Corner. Our room was now ready so we left the park but in no rush and along the way we
went in a few shops in Disney Village and also looked around Art of Marvel, Hotel New
York which was amazing.

After a quick settle into our room, we headed to Disney Studios for a few hours where we
conquered the Avengers Campus and both the rides were phenomenal especially Avengers
Flight Force. We then made our way back over to Disneyland park to watch the Christmas
Parade. We watched from Mainstreet, to the right of the park entrance and this was such a
great spot! Not only did the parade start here, but it also did about three laps around the tree
we were stood in front of before it ascended down the rest of Mainsteet. This was amazing as
it meant we had lots of character interactions. As the parade was still taking place, we quickly
dashed to Space Mountain whilst the queue was low and we then ran over to Thunder
Mountain which was definitely one of our favourite rides, especially at night! After a few
more rides, we made our way back to Mainstreet for the firework show. They were very good
however more projection based so I’d argue the closer you are to the castle the better.

Day 3

The next morning we used our time wisely by utilising our extra magic hour that you get as
hotel guests. We went straight to Crush’s Coaster and only waited just over ten minutes.
Within shy of two hours we’d done everything in Studios! We then ate breakfast at one of the
quick serves before going to Disney Village to do some shopping which we dropped back at
our hotel. Now about one o’clock, we arrived at Disneyland Park where we went for lunch in
Fantasyland and had the infamous Mickey shaped pizza. Later on in the afternoon we
watched Lets Sing Christmas which is a really lovely and festive as Mickey and friends made
an appearance! This day was particularly cold, which meant we spent as much of it as we
could indoors. We ended up re riding Pirates of the Caribbean about four time overall but we
definitely didn’t mind! We spent the rest of this evening re riding all our favourites, one
being Tower of Terror which again is a must do at night as it feels more eerie.

With our flight not being until 9:30 at night, we had almost a full park day again! We had a
slow morning and didn’t leave the hotel until 10:30, just before we needed to check out. We
spent most of the morning in Fantasyland enjoying all the rides like the Teacups before a
delicious lunch at Au Chalet de la Marionnette. We then rode pirates and space before
grabbing some snacks and making our way back to the hotel for our airport transfer. We had
the most amazing few days and are both desperate to go back! I’d definitely recommend a

trip when the park is decorated for Christmas as it feels extra magical! We’d been worrying
that the two nights wouldn’t be enough but due to it being quiet we found it plenty. You
couldn’t fault the hotel, its proximity to the park is great and we walked all but one time.

Romania with Mandy!

November 2022

Day 1

We flew from Luton to Cluj-Napoca with Wizz Air all on time, excellent service. And couldnt fault either airport on the way out. Picked up on arrival and taken to the Grand Hotel Napoca a 4 star hotel within a 10 minutes walk to the center through the park. After a freshen up we headed out for a walking tour of the city. this is a vibrant city with lots of students and very much out door living. I was shocked by how clean it was and how safe it felt. A local restaurant for dinner where we sampled the local food, aubergine dips, pork bites and red onion and local pork and veg for the first time and of course had to sample the local drink of Palinka which you drink before you eat. All im going to say it had a very warming effect and I could feel it all the way down

Day 3

This morning we drove to Bran Castle, the home of the story of Dracula, this really is an interesting place to visit, the history, the building its self and the folklore of Romania. After this was lunch at a mountain top restaurant with the most amazing 360 views. We stopped for a guided city tour in Brasov and met one of Vlad the implalers distance relatives, Vlad was the inspiration for Count Dracula. This evening we had a private drink and local music around the fire before we had a local feast, where the food just kept coming, it was traditional meats, cheeses, picked vegetables and followed by the most amazing pudding, Papanasi a must try if you are in Romania.

Day 2

An early start and we drove a couple of hours to Sighisoara taking in the wonderful autumn colors on the way which my photos just dont do justice. We did a guided walking tour around the beautiful, colorful and cobbled streets and climbed the church tower, which had amazing views over rooftops. After lunch in Draculas house , where for the first time ever I had soup in a whole loaf of bread. Then there was the option to go up to the 2nd floor to meet Dracula if you dare. After was a Palinka tasting at a local cellar to calm the nerves, before heading to the mountains to Poiana Brasov for a 2 night stay in the Ana Hotel Bradul. tonights dinner was at a local farm, amazing food and local tradational music perfect end to an excellent day.

Day 4

This morning we had a wander round the mountain resort of Poiana Brasov, and took the cable car to the top of the mountain to take in the stunning mountain views, this resort offers hiking, mountain biking and of course skiing in the winter. And be careful of the bears in the woods. We then headed to Sibiu. With a stop partway for lunch by the river Hungarian Goulash and a beer never tasted so good. Sibiu, what a pretty town, a maze of cobbled streets, and squares so pretty. And when we got to the cathedral it was a wow moment. This town also hosts a Christmas market and this would be a lovely time to visit. After a guided tour, we then headed back to Cluj for our last night. This evening we went to a modern restaurant for dinner, where I had the most amazing cheesecake Ive ever had.

Day 5

Today we had a leisurely morning followed by a walk through the treelined park into town, a wander round the back streets and enjoyed coffee in the square, followed by a gorgeous lunch in a restaurant that without local knowledge of Get Free wed have never found. Today was so interesting as Stefan and Peter were explaining how their grand parents and parents were effected by communism, living history always seems so real especially as I am the same age as their parents. It was then time to head to the airport, efficient check in, flights all on time. Romania was such a surprise, beautiful scenery, warm hospitality and amazing food I will definitely go back. Thank you to Get Free for the opportunity to go and for looking after us so well.
